All organisations public and private from all countries in the world, actively committed to engage and empower users and citizens to take part in sustainable innovation processes, are once again invited to apply for membership in the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) as of October 24th, 2011. The announcement was made at the Future Internet Conference in Poznan (Poland).

These awards aim to recognise and draw international attention to examples of good practice in different areas within Design for All. The award categories are as follows:
The European Network of Living Labs President Prof. Alvaro Oliveira is present on 23rd of February at the World Bank ICT Sector Days in Washington DC, where he will discuss Strategies and instruments for collaboration & co-creation of public services at the event titled Transforming All Sectors: ICT for Open Government and Innovation.
We are delighted to announce that the date of the next ENoLL General Assembly has been set for Monday 23rd April 2012 in the afternoon. The venue of the meeting will be the ENoLL Office. The official invitation with a detailed programme will follow soon.
ENoLL Effective member Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Laurea Living Lab) is proud to publish the results of their intensive work in the field of Service Innovation and Design.
This publication on Service Innovation and Design by Laurea University of Applied Sciences maps 14 different projects at the LaureaSID on developing service sciences theories, creative co-design and user-centered methodologies, business and ICT competences in service development and industry specific competences in safety and security management.
ENoLL is selecting high-level experts to participate in the evaluation of its 6th Wave Calls for Membership applications. Candidates with proven expertise in carrying out the activities related to the implementation of living labs are invited to apply to participate in the evaluation process. The evaluation process values transparency, confidentiality and high professionalism.
In 2011 the European Commission has tabled several highly relevant proposals regarding Europe’s innovation agenda for many years to come. The European Parliament has started debating on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2014 – 2020), the future Cohesion Policy, the next programme for research and innovation - Horizon 2020, and more.
m2Work, a global challenge by the World Bank’s infoDev and Nokia’s IdeasProject, is offering a total of US$ 40,000 in cash prizes and one-of-a-kind business mentorship to entrepreneurs with good ideas for mobile microwork. Microwork refers to small digital tasks people can perform anywhere to supplement their income. With the support of the World Bank, UKaid and the government of Finland, the contest aims to create jobs and stimulate sustainable growth.
The FI-WARE project, currently active in the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for research and technological development, announces its First Open Call for new project partners.
On January 25th, ENoLL was present at the FIREBALL final conference. This one-day workshop invited speakers from EUROCITIES, FIRE (Future Internet Research & Experimentation), the Smart City Portfolio CIP projects and ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) and European Commission to present views and results to open up the discussion on shaping the future ‘Smart Cities’ agenda, starting from the needs of the cities, their citizens and partner organisations.
